In this 1902 Easter Annual, Helen Rossetti explores the life and work of Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882), who founded the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood in 1848 with William Holman Hunt and John Everett Millais. With the ex libris plate of Maud A. Hibbert signed with the initials “JMS” in the plate, possibly the Pre-Raphaelite artist John Melhuish Strudwick. Strudwick formed strong links to the second generation of Pre-Raphaelites by working as a studio assistant for John Roddam Stanhope Spencer and Edward Burne-Jones.
