First edition, first impression. Inscribed by the artist on the front free endpaper, "For Peter Townsend. Naum Gabo, March 13th 1967.”

The first definitive account of Gabo's work including a fold-out facsimile of the "Realist Manifesto" (Russian text and English translation) in which the principles of constructivism were outlined. Original black and white cloth, titles to spine in red. With worn dust jacket. Original stereoscopic glasses inserted in a folding blue card box at rear. Also includes a photocopy of Gabo’s last poem, a signed card from Gabo’s daughter, and another from the Berlinische Galerie.
