Two volumes of photographs taken in two hundred Paris metro stations. Each photograph is centred on a billboard and in the upper right-hand corner of each billboard vertical white and black stripes are noticeable. Images in both volumes are black and white, but hidden under the front end flap in each volume is a fold-out of Buren's colours; blue in volume I and orange in volume II. Text by Daniel Buren about his "pieces of white and blue vertically-striped paper put up/pasted" in Paris metro stations as "a pretext for Michel Cenet's photographs." Peter Townsend is mentioned in the acknowledgements.
