The hard to find English edition of this scarce catalogue with several texts by Wilhelm Mrazek (then director of Vienna's Museum für Angewandte Kunst (MAK), beginning with “Vienna around 1900: To Every Era Its Art – To Art Its Freedom”. 15 images including a portrait photograph of Josef Hoffmann, photograph of the Wiener Werkstatte showcase at the Paris International Exhibition in 1925, double page spread of the dining hall in the Palais Stoclet with the Mosaic Frieze after designs by Gustav Klimt, photographs of various works/designs by Josef Hoffmann, Vally Wieselthier, Eduard Josef Wimmer-Wisgell and a photograph of Dagobert Peche’s interior decoration at the 1914 Werkbund Exhibition in Cologne. Endpapers printed with the stylised Rose-Signet of the Wiener Werkstatte, about 1905.
