From Ancient Greece to the late 1970s, L’Amour Bleu draws together myriad references, including historical records, social commentary, creative literature, as well as ceramics, sculpture, drawing, painting and photography. The fascinating collection of historical texts embraces a vast field encompassing mythological, fictional and actual historical personalities, from Aristophanes, Plato, Marlowe, Shakespeare, Voltaire, Goethe, Rimbaud, Wilde, Proust, Cocteau and Gide, to Michelangelo, Aubrey Beardsley, Charles Demut and many more.

Large format, 35 cm x 27.5 cm (13.75" x10.75") with 304 pages of very substantial stock, and illustrated profusely throughout. The book is divided into seven chronological periods, and includes a selected bibliography.
