Catalogue of an exhibition of works by H.C. Westermann ((1922-81) held at the Serpentine Gallery, 12 December 1980 — 8 February 1981. The exhibition brought together American sculptor and printmaker H. C. Westermann, and British sculptor and automaton-maker Sam Smith (1908-83). This was the first time Westermann had shown in a major public gallery in London. Essay by Denis Adrian, pictorial endpapers, biography, list of 72 works, and illustrated in colour and b/w throughout.
