Association copy of Louis Cheronnet’s, A Paris vers 1900, given as a Christmas present by the great sculptor Ossip Zadine to the violinist Fanny Wadsworth (nee Everleigh) wife of the English Vorticist painter, Edward Wadsworth, in 1932. Zadkine had known the Wadsworths from at least the time Edward Wadsworth commissioned Zadkine’s sculpture “Femme Assise” which was photographed in Wadsworth’s garden in 1931. The book has been signed by Ossip Zadkine “To Fanny Wadsworth, with all my friendly remembrances this X-mas of 1932-33. O. Zadkine”.

A critic and author Chéronnet (1899–1950) is particularly known for publications featuring early photography of Paris. A Paris vers 1900 is a notable photo-essay offering a comprehensive visual and textual look at life in Paris at the turn of the Twentieth-century.
