Not a 'Brancusi before Brancusi,' since it includes none of the works created in Romania, but the sculptor of his first years in Paris, marvelled by his first encounter with French culture. This is a period when he was heavily influenced by Rodin [...]. It is the period of fleeting and light evocations of the human form. Here we have the delicacy of Brancusi." (p.9)
