William Belcher, Construction Box (Egg Timer)
William Belcher (b.1928). British painter, illustrator, and creator of mixed-media box constructions, studied at Worthing School of Art and the Royal College of Art. Belcher is most well known for his box constructions in the manner of Joseph Cornell. England & Co., London, included Belcher’s box constructions the series of group exhibitions ‘Art in Boxes’ in the early 1990s.
